Youth Prevention Education

Youth Prevention Education Services offer health and wellness programs in schools and throughout the community to empower youth with education and skills to support their healthy, drug-free lives, succeed in school, and develop to their full potential.

Staff facilitate four different evidence-based curricula to students in K-12th grade. Each program is designed to empower youth with knowledge and skills for making healthy choices. We also provide educational and interactive presentations and activities throughout the community on a variety of drug prevention/education topics. In addition, up to 10 counseling sessions can be provided to students, ages 12-19, in Dallas and Tarrant counties at no cost.

Services are offered in Dallas, Tarrant, Denton, Johnson, Parker, Wise, Collin, Grayson, Ellis, and Palo Pinto counties.

Prevention Resource Center

The Prevention Resource Center provides information and education about substance use to the communities located within the 19 counties of Texas Health and Human Services Commission Region 3. Our team tracks data, provides trainings, supports community programs and partners, and connects people and organizations with resources in an effort to reduce the incidence and impact of substance use in North Texas. Our resources and services are always free of charge, so let us know how we can be of service to your organization.
