Agency Updates

SPRING BREAK SUCCESS

Camp L4 (Live, Learn, Laugh, Love) takes place three times a year at YMCA Camp Carter for at-risk youth, ages 6 to 11, residing in local domestic violence and homeless shelters or foster care programs. Over spring break, March 11-14, campers participated in fun activities like horseback riding, fishing, canoeing, arts and crafts, and more all while learning how to make healthy life choices!

Throughout the four days of Camp L4, campers participated in support groups focused on promoting their overall well-being by exploring self-esteem, goal setting, emotional wellness, and self-care.

Seeing the children learn and grow was truly inspiring! We lived, learned, laughed, and loved and can’t wait for two rounds of Camp L4 in the summer. The Council’s Youth Prevention program also offers two Teen Retreats over the summer for youth, ages 13 to 17. A special thanks to the Sid W. Richardson Foundation, whose support made this opportunity possible for Fort Worth youth.

Community Engagement

INCREASE YOUR IMPACT

Recovery Resource Council is excited to participate in Fort Worth Colonial Charities’ Birdies for Charity program. This program is a fun way to support the Council while following PGA Tour pros as they play in the annual Charles Schwab Challenge from May 20-26, 2024 at Colonial Country Club.

You can participate by making a pledge for every birdie made during the 2024 tournament. In addition, Fort Worth Colonial Charities will match a percentage of all funds raised or pledged during the program, which runs through midnight on May 17th. Make a pledge now by clicking on this link and selecting Recovery Resource Council as your charity of choice.

The Council is honored that Fort Worth Colonial Charities has selected our agency as a key beneficiary of the Birdies for Charity program for the past 10 years and awarded $11,518 to our programs and services in 2023. Increase your impact by making a donation today!
