Eric Niedermayer, BSW, MS Chief Executive Officer

Eric R. Niedermayer has served as the Chief Executive Officer of Recovery Resource Council since 2002. He has a master’s degree in Rehabilitation Administration and a bachelor’s degree in Social Work and has worked in the field of healthcare, mental health, substance abuse, and criminal justice for 42 years. As Chief of Mental Health/Substance Abuse for Tarrant County MHMR from 1987-2002, he led a $17 million division of services with 350 employees that annually treated 15,000 chronic mentally ill and substance abuse clients. He was instrumental in developing and directing programs for special needs populations including the HIV positive, the elderly, homeless, and those with dual diagnoses. Eric retired from the Texas Air National Guard as Lt. Colonel in December 2003, where he served as Director of Personnel, Hospital Administrative Office and as an Adjutant General State-wide Investigator Officer. As the CEO of Recovery Resource Council, Eric has worked hard to expand the agencies services into integrated healthcare and behavioral health, including establishing a psychotherapy program for veterans and their families in 2013. In 2014, he led the agency to obtain Joint Commission accreditation as a behavioral outpatient provider. In 2018, he oversaw a merger with the Dallas Council on Alcohol and Drug Abuse. Currently, Recovery Resource Council has campuses in Denton, Dallas, and Fort Worth. He is also an active member of the Association for Substance Abuse Professionals and serves as a board member.

Jennifer

Dr. Jennifer Pitts Chief of Operations and Risk Management

Dr. Jennifer Pitts joined The Council on Alcohol & Drugs in June, 2016. On September 1, 2019, the two organizations merged, thus making her a member of the merged organization, Recovery Resource Council. Dr. Pitts is an accomplished professional with years of leadership experience. She is a graduate of Angelo State University where she obtained a Bachelor of Business Administration. As an advocate of lifelong learning Dr. Pitts also holds a Masters of Business Administration and a Doctorate of Education degree with a concentration in Transformational Leadership from Concordia University.

Sonny Muniz-Blake Director of Special Populations

Sonny joined Recovery Resource Council in October 2011. He has over 30 years of experience working in substance use and mental health disorders. Sonny graduated with a Master of Science degree in human services with concentration in mental health counseling from Springfield College. He is native Texan and spent most of his adult life in West Texas. Sonny has worked in many different aspects of the behavioral health field, from youth prevention to adult treatment and is currently Director of Special Populations where he is supervises RRC’s homeless programs.

Becky Tinney Director of Special Projects

Becky has been with the Council since 2017. She holds a bachelor’s in business administration from Northwood University and a master’s degree in social work from the University of Texas Arlington, with an emphasis on mental health and substance abuse. She is a licensed master level social worker, a certified prevention specialist, and a licensed chemical dependency counselor. Becky recently launched the agency’s Overdose Response Team program in both Dallas and Tarrant Counties and the Overdose Fatality Review Committee for Tarrant County – the first in the state of Texas. Becky oversees the Council’s position as the public health partner for the Center for Disease Control’s Overdose Response Strategy program for the North Texas region, a partnership program with the High Intensity Drug Trafficking Area program. She is also a contributing member on several opioid-focused task forces and work groups across the metroplex, including the City of Dallas’s Opioid and Fentanyl Strike Force, Tarrant County Public Health’s Overdose Workgroup, UNT Police Department’s Fentanyl/ Overdose Awareness Coalition, and Dallas ISD’s Substance Abuse Task Force. Becky is passionate about serving others, making community-level impact, and creating and leading programs that are aimed at reducing harm and making meaningful change.

Lisa Reiling

Lisa Reiling Chief Programs Officer

Lisa Reiling is the Chief Program Officer of Prevention and Recovery Services with Recovery Resource Council where she has worked for the past 16 years. Lisa is an Advanced Certified Prevention Specialist with extensive training and experience in program management and leadership in both the fields of substance use and domestic violence. Lisa was awarded the 2018 Nonprofit Leader of the Year Award by the Center for Nonprofit Management and the 2018 Prevention Professional of the Year Award by the Texas Association of Addiction Professionals. Lisa also developed a therapeutic day camp program for children living in high-risk environments and created and copyrighted a social marketing campaign designed to educate and empower youth. Lisa recently served as President of the Regional Network of Prevention Providers of North Texas and has done much substance use advocacy work at both the state and federal levels.

Margie Hatcher

Margie Hatcher Chief Human Resources and Facility Officer

Margie Hatcher has been with Recovery Resource Council (formerly Tarrant Council on Alcohol and Drugs) since October 2004. Margie retired from the Federal Bureau of Prisons as the Director of Development and thought her work career was over until the opportunity to work with RRC was presented. Margie is a Native Oklahoman, transplanted in Texas who studied at Langston University and Central State University and has a degree in Real Estate Management. Margie is totally vested in the Core Values and Beliefs of the Council and especially in our Guarantee “Unconditional Acceptance, Respect, and Positive Regard for everyone.

Casey

Dr. Casey Gutierrez Deputy Director of Veteran Mental Health Services

Casey is a bilingual Licensed Professional Counselor in the State of Texas. Casey is a Bronze Star Medal recipient who completed three deployments in support of both Operation Iraqi Freedom and Operation Enduring Freedom. After the military, he was awarded a Master of Education in Counseling Psychology degree from Tarleton State University and is currently a Family Therapy PhD Candidate at Texas Woman’s University. Casey is a trained clinician in Child Centered Play Therapy, Bowen Family Systems Theory, and Cognitive Behavioral Therapy. He wholeheartedly believes in the mission of Recovery Resource Council, in supporting staff, and in providing the best possible evidence-based services to enable clients in their pursuit for betterment.
