Send a Message that Matters

Send a Message that Matters is a public awareness campaign that aims to promote healthy choices using new aged media. Certified Prevention Specialist work with students ages¬†5 to 18 to promote positive messaging to friends and family through relevant communication tools in today’s media age. Agency branded materials are distributed to students, teachers, administrators, partnering non-profits and family members throughout the year at schools, community centers, and other events to promote positivity with the children we serve.

Red Ribbon Week

Red Ribbon Week is typically scheduled for two full weeks in October. Last year we served 8,546 youth with RRW services, above and beyond our regular, daily school and community-based work. We rely on volunteer help to make this happen. The RRW National theme this year is “Respect Yourself. Be Drug-Free.” All of our programming reiterates the national message while empowering kids with the education and skills needed to make informed decisions in relation to their personal health, happiness, and wellness. Last year we served 20 different schools with Red Ribbon presentations, puppet shows, and activities during the 2 week period. The schools were in a variety of districts throughout Tarrant County but mostly Fort Worth, Arlington, Mansfield, Keller, Saginaw, HEB, and Kennedale.
